The Moapa Valley Performing Arts Council fosters performing arts through the community. On this evening, the Arts Council will showcase wonderful talent from our community.

The electrifying trio of Glen McDaniel, Nick Villalobos, and Zack Clark, together known as Simply Three, has been captivating audiences worldwide with high-octane performances since 2010. Acclaimed as "having what it takes" (Boston Philharmonic) and "highly imaginative and well played" (Maine Today), Simply Three continues to receive praise for their ability to impress listeners with a multitude of genres that span from Puccini and Gershwin to artists such as Adele, Coldplay, and Michael Jackson. By reshaping convention through this style of genre hopping, the trio continues to seek the true essence of classical crossover with original works as well as innovative arrangements that showcase their technical virtuosity and heartfelt musicality.

An Irish Christmas Celebration, created by the 2009 World Champion of Irish Dance Scott Doherty and worldwide touring Irish musician Chris Smith, Christmas In Killarney combines the excitement of Irish dance with the harmonies of traditional Christmas dassics. Zephyr Performers will combine for a wonderful evening of Christmas music that is sure to please everyone. The group is made up of singers and musicians who live in the community. Sit back, relax, and enjoy an outstanding evening of seasonal favorites presented by local artists and musicians.

Following a decade long tradition, members of the Moapa Valley Community will join together to perform highlights from Handel’s Messiah. Please sit back and enjoy this year’s performance or participate with the chorus or orchestra.
The concert will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the church building located at 3245 N Moapa Valley Blvd. in Logandale. Please note the venue change from previous years for the particular use of the building’s organ which will be specially featured.

Winning over live audiences has been Shupe’s natural-born talent since childhood. A fifth-generation fiddler, he started performing with his siblings at age 10. Shupe later formed the RubberBand, and the band took the long-running Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado by storm, winning the live band contest. This launched them into the national music scene and, after signing with Capitol Records, they hit #13 on Billboard's US Country Album Chart with their signature album, Dream Big.

Missoula Children’s Theatre has been a valley favorite for years. MCT provides a unique experience for the youth of the community. Auditions for students K-12 will take place on Monday, February 26, at 3:30 p.m. at Mack Lyon Middle School. In one week, the cast will learn a full-scale musical to be performed that Saturday! Within each MCT cast, girls and boys are equal; the disabled become able; the shy experiment with bravery; the shows are rehearsed to perfection; and the gifted become part of the whole. The lesson they learn is that all of them are necessary for the show to go on. MCT provides a unique opportunity to learn the lessons of group dynamics while excelling as an individual—a lesson from art that carries into life.
Come support the youth at their end-of-week performance of Beauty Lou and the Country Beast on Saturday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Mack Lyon Middle School Theater for an original country western adaptation of the classic fairy tale BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and students, and $35 for a family.
New this season will be a Community Easter Program filled with music from local churches and Moapa Valley community members.
